10 Stylish Photograph Gifts You Can Give This Christmas.
Every year I wrangle my kids into something festive and take some pretty pictures for some seriously cute Christmas gifts. My main aim is to get Granny all tearie on Christmas day.
I should add that I don’t typically have to ‘wrangle’ with other peoples children (see above!!). Just my own. (As seen below!)
This year I decided to investigate a few slightly more unique, stylish gift options for Christmas and I’m blown away by all the quirky and classy gifts there are out there. Gone are the days of the obligatory key rings and mouse mats…although if that’s your thing I mean no offence.
I thought I’d share my top 10 list of fancy gifts to inspire you to get Christmas all wrapped up in style – yes, actual style!
I should probably state (full disclosure and all that) I have expensive tastes!
Most of these are relatively reasonably priced but I won’t apologise at all for adding in a few exceptional pieces – it’s Christmas! What’s Christmas without a little splurging!
(And after all…some of these items could be added to your own little Santa list for your very own Santa to get for you! - hint hint!)
Fancy Personalised Christmas Cards
Rosemood is set to become one of my favourite companies ever I suspect. They offer a whole range of luxury printed items and I have struggled not to mention them for pretty much every suggestion in this blog.
A lot of the personalised Christmas cards out there can be a little cheap looking. The card is shiny and the quality of the actual printing isn’t great. I’m fussy on how accurately images are printed funnily enough!
This website has really lovely, classy cards. The print quality is great and to be honest I could easily add this company to the list for all kinds of products because they are all gorgeous!
You can personalise the card quality - they even have an iridescent one for that special touch and you can add coloured envelopes and little stickers to seal them. Very very nice!
Have a sift through their website.
2. Stylish photo holders
This company (River and Coast) is awesome. I have used them on several occasions and their print quality is superb.
They are UK based and their customer service is fab so if ever you have a query before ordering they will talk you through everything.
I’m particularly fond of this little oak block. The prints that it holds are no ordinary prints. You just have to feel them to see the quality. Archival papers are a bit special and with 5 prints included with the block you can change up which one is on show whenever you fancy.
3. Wow frames!
River and Coast also do frames.
And I’m not just talking about bog standard frames here. They do WOW frames!
I know I’m offering up the same company twice but I’m not sorry.
These metal frames offer some serious impact. Now to be honest, I am all about a wooden frame. A real oak frame in any shape or size is usually where my heart lies.
But these frames! They could seriously change my whole outlook on a metal frame. They are just stunning. And whilst I’m not usually a bling person…I just love the gold one!
Have a wee nose and see what you think.
4. Ickle, dinky, super easy frames!
This recommendation actually came from a family that I did a session for last year.
We were taking newborn photographs and Dad happened to mention that the previous set of photos we had done were up in a collection on the walls.
He said they’d ordered a ton of these tiles and that they LOVED how easily they went up and could be changed around.
The ordering process is ridiculously easy. Ordering frames can sometimes be a bit of a faff but not with this company and it would be so easy to create a really epic wall feature for a really reasonable price.
See….they aren’t all expensive suggestions!
5. A mantlepiece momento
One of my best friends bought one of these after I took her newborn photographs for her.
I have admired it many many times over the years. It is super unique and utterly gorgeous! The photograph is actually printed onto the copper and if copper doesn’t tie in with you decor it comes in silver too.

And…it’s one of the more reasonably priced items! I’m ticking all kids of boxes here!
6. Christmas Bauble
We’re getting proper festive with this one. This gorgeous glass bauble has a photograph printed on a little wooden plaque tucked inside it. You can pop a little personal date or message onto the plaque too.
It’s from Sophia Victoria Joy and whilst she has loads of gorgeous items on her site, this is my favourite photography related piece.

If you welcomed a new baby this year or know someone who did, this would just be the sweetest thing to adorn your tree with.

7. Photobooks
If you have a heap of photographs from throughout the year or maybe a wee family holiday you’d like to immortalise in print, then there’s nothing nicer than a photobook.
I recommend this company all the time for clients who are printing their own photographs. They are reasonably priced and their print quality is great.
I haven’t used them myself for a photobook, however, I asked a few photographers who had made their own photobooks and this came back as the recommendation.

Something a little less ordinary…
If you’re after a photobook that looks a little more unique then this soft cover photobook is the one for you.
This is similar to a really high quality magazine. It offers something a little bit different to the usual hardcover ‘books’ that you get from the likes of Photobox or Optimalprint.

This one is very near the top of my Christmas list this year…if I can ever wrangle those kids of mine in front of my camera!
8. Calendars
Since the boys were little I’ve always ordered the Grannies up a wee Photobox Calendar.
They usually have a 50% off deal until the start of December so if you get organised quickly they are fairly reasonable…the postage is always a bit of a sting and it bumps up the price so be a bit wary. I usually get two for about £30.
The quality of them is fine and the Grannies always appreciate the gesture but there are other (much nicer) alternatives out there.
The stunning photo one!
These ones caught my eye and if you have some really beautiful images that you’d like to make the most of then this would certainly be a way to do it.

They are really reasonably priced too, always a bonus!
Just one more…
If you’re like me and you actually need to write a million things on your calendar then these are fairly spectacular. I love the gold detailing on the ring binder and the fact that you can add little photographs into special days of the year. I bought these last year and they are just SO nice. I’ve reordered them for this year too.

9. Papercut family tree
Are papercuts still in fashion? I’m a little on the dated side myself these days so never sure what the line is between still ‘in’ and ‘not so much’. I consult my nieces before buying trainers!
My wedding invites were papercut and I still adore them. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but they are mine, so with that in mind - this is very cute!

Who wouldn’t love a gorgeous wee family tree papercut with ickle photographs to show the family members?
It’s available to purchase through Not on the High Street - I know, how great is Not on the High Street!

10. Mouse Mat
I’m feeling a tad guilty about the comments I made above in reference to mouse mats. So if that is your thing and you fancy a wee jigsaw, keyring, mug etc. then Vistaprint should have you sorted out in no time at all.
So that’s us. 10 not so ordinary things to do with your photographs.
Ah…I wish I had some really lovely updated photos of the kids to use…
Well although you’ve missed my Christmas mini sessions for this year there’s always the option of a wee gift voucher, either for yourself or as a giant big hint to your other half of what you’d like!
Oh and if you have any go to photo gifts that you love why not comment below and share the love!
